Nick is an urban planner interested in the future of human settlements. Nick is co-founder of start-up Powerwells, a social enterprise initiative focused on recycling e-waste and providing sustainable power supplies for remote communities.

Zoe is an engineer with a passion for Smart Cities and Smart Regions, so not just the big cities. Zoe is the Managing Director of Zemcon, and offers Smart City advisory services. Zoe is also the creator and host of the popular Smart Cities Podcast.

Claire is an urban planner, data analyst and programmer working as a consultant for SGS Economics and Planning. Claire is passionate about taking opportunities presented by digital technology to improve urban policy outcomes. 

David is an urban planner with Cuttriss Consultants in Wellington, New Zealand. David is an expert in digital heritage initiatives and wants to see cities become engaging and culturally vibrant places to live.

Marika is a Property Development Graduate working in Lendlease's Urban Regeneration business. Marika is particularly interested in how smart cities can improve design outcomes, and the well-being and happiness of the people living, working and playing in them.

Katherine is a Senior Consultant in KPMG’s Internet of Things practice, specialising in Smart Cities. Katherine is passionate about the enabling power of new and emerging technologies to create more productive, sustainable and liveable places grounded in the principle of citizen-centricity. 

Janine Betz is a German architect and urban designer with a passion for placemaking, and  works for Aurecon in Perth/Western Australia. Janine actively promotes an interdisciplinary, human-centered design approach , and aims to connect and empower people to drive better urban design outcomes through her thought leadership initiative “betzie”. 

Julia is the City Innovation and Emergency Welfare Officer at the Wellington City Council. She has a background in public policy and is passionate about using innovative technology to increase transparency, foster a more collaborative approach to decision making and enabling Wellington to become a more responsive and resilient city.

Michael is an environmental engineer at Water Technology Pty Ltd. With urban systems under pressure, Michael is an advocate for water-smart cities with water key to achieving multiple liveability benefits in our future smart cities.

Chris is an urban planner working as an Innovation Officer for the City of Greater Bendigo. Chris is currently heavily involved in  building a community Internet of Things (IoT) network for Bendigo in collaboration with La Trobe University and Coliban Water.
